The Life of Mary Margaret "Mayme" Roths Fontanelli Friess
If there is one thing I believe every child should know, it is their family history. Since I was young, my mom, her siblings, her parents all talked about this woman named "Mayme". I didn't know until I was much older that this woman is actually my great grandmother. Mayme's life was not typical. She was born in New York and given up for adoption right away. When she was only 1 and 1/2 years old, she was boarded on a train, where she was adopted by two loving parents. Even with such a different start in life, Mayme still experiences falling in love, raising a family, loss of loved ones, and finding her true passion. This is her story. The story of a Kansas legacy.
